Police search for answers in the disappearance of Maddy Scott
2018-05-25 07:57 PDT
On Friday May 27th, 2011, 20-year-old Madison Scott attended a party at Hogsback Lake, a Forest Service Campsite located approximately 25 kilometers South of Vanderhoof. Maddy drove her white 1990 Ford F150 pick-up truck, pitched her tent and was camping there with a group of new friends, from Vanderhoof. They were celebrating a birthday and around 4 AM on May 28th 2011 everyone but Maddy left. She remained on her own in her tent.
On May 28th, 2011, something occurred between 4 am - 8:30 a.m. that led to Maddyʼs disappearance. It has been 7 years and, despite a vigorous and in depth RCMP investigation and ongoing efforts by family and friends, Maddy remains missing. Foul play is suspected in her disappearance.
We know someone out there knows something about the disappearance. We are asking any individual who has information about Maddy’s disappearance to contact the police or Crime Stoppers said Cpl. Tom Wamsteeker of the North District Major Crime Unit.
The Maddy Scott family team will be holding the 7th annual Poker Ride in the Hogsback Lake area this Saturday May 26th, 2018, On The Trail To Find Maddy. We encourage everyone to come and participate as we continue our search for answers.
If you have information we ask you to call the Vanderhoof RCMP at (250) 567-2222 or if you wish to remain anonymous call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS
