Over the course of the next few weeks the Penticton RCMP are going to be releasing information on a series of historical missing person and found human remains investigations. Cpl. James Rutledge, the acting commander of the Penticton RCMP General Investigative Section, said that The Penticton RCMP are hoping that by re-sharing of this information may lead to new tips from the public in cases that have gone cold.

The RCMP is committed to following up on investigations, no matter how old the files are, in the hopes of providing answers to families and justice for any wrong doing., explained Cpl. Rutledge.

Penticton File 2016-12165 – Missing Person

On August 3rd, 2016, Danny Ross departed his Abbott Street home in Penticton just before a 10:00 a.m. scheduled appointment with Penticton Probation. Mr. Ross, however, never made it to his scheduled appointment that morning. On August 9th, 2016, after having had no contact with his family or friends, he was reported missing.

Mr. Ross was 32 years old at the time of his disappearance and is described as being 6’1, 190 lbs. Mr. Ross was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, tan shorts and white running shoes.

Penticton RCMP along with the RCMP’s South East District Missing Persons Coordinator are continuing their investigation into this missing person.
