2020-09-10 09:45 PDT

At 1:00 a.m. on Tuesday September 8th, 2020, White Rock RCMP were called to the area of Balsam and Victoria for a report of a baby crying.

White Rock RCMP located a baby racoon crying loudly in a storm drain and its mother unable to get him out. RCMP officers removed the drain cover and used a dog pole to help remove the baby. The unhappy/worried mother looked on, voicing her displeasure at times until her baby was free. They were last seen scurrying away together on Victoria.
