Suspects charged following armed robbery

Just before 1:00 AM on Wednesday August 14th, 2019, the Prince George RCMP received a report of an armed robbery at a gas station located at 5th Avenue and Tabor Boulevard in Prince George.

Three disguised suspects entered the business while a fourth remained outside. The suspects demanded cash and struck the lone employee with a blunt object. A small amount of cash and some cigarettes were taken. All four suspects fled on foot before police could be called.

Multiple officers attended the area to search for the suspects.

At approximately 1:05 AM, all four suspects were located and arrested near an elementary school on Rainbow Drive in Prince George.

Two adult males along with a youth male and youth female were transported to the Prince George Detachment where they will remain until they attend court later today. All four are currently residents of Prince George.

The victim’s injuries are not believed to be serious. Cash and cigarettes were recovered.

The names of the youth cannot be released as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act. All four will appear in court this afternoon.
