Investigation continues in 2019 homicide

On Saturday January 12, 2019, Prince George RCMP responded to a number of calls for service that were later determined to be related. First, a report of a vehicle fire on Chilako Station Road and then a call of found human remains in the area of West Lake, later identified as 41 year-old Kristopher Bychyk.

A canvass of the West Lake and Chilako areas have been completed, video footage has been reviewed and the forensic analysis continues. The investigation is active and ongoing and police are appealing to the public for information related to a black Dodge Neon with a distinct spoiler and white design on the side of it. This vehicle may have been in the West Lake and Chilako Road areas in and around January 12, 2019.

Sherri, Kris's Mom says "Kris grew up in the Lower Mainland and in 2018 decided to go to Prince George for a job opportunity and affordable housing. He was my son and I loved him very much-no one deserves what happened to him. There are people who have information and who can help. Please contact the police if you know anything."
