Downtown stabbing

On Sunday March 15th at approximately 10:10 AM, the Prince George RCMP received a report of a stabbing that had occurred on the 1200 block of 2nd Avenue in Prince George.

Frontline officers attended the area immediately. The suspect was located and arrested near 4th Avenue and Queensway less than ten minutes after the initial call to police.

The adult female victim was treated and transported to hospital by paramedics. Injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Mandy Kathaleen Trahan, a 28 year old female from Kelowna, BC, has been charged by the BC Prosecution Service with the following Criminal Code offences:

Trahan was held in custody overnight and will attend court later today.
