Online crime reporting tool expands

Since November 2019, the Prince George Detachment has been accepting crime reports through an online tool, available through our web site at

Recently, the RCMP have expanded the reportable incidents to include traffic complaints, as well as stolen licence plates and registration decals. Some conditions apply.

In addition to providing a more convenient way for residents to make a report of less serious crimes, this tool allows call takers and frontline personnel to focus on higher priority calls, which will improve overall safety and response times in the city. Not all crime are reportable through this tool, including crimes against persons.
