The Prince George RCMP continued efforts to disrupt drug trafficking groups associated to the recent violence in Prince George.
On the evening of September 24, 2020, the Detachment’s Street Crew Unit arrested two suspects believed to be trafficking in controlled substances.
The first arrested suspect, a 30-year-old Prince George man, was found in possession of fentanyl and cash, while the second arrested man, a 28-year-old Prince George resident, was found in possession of a pistol that turned out to be a BB gun.
The investigation led officers to a residence on the 3000-block of 3rd Avenue. A search warrant was obtained which led to the seizure of a rifle and various types of ammunition, as well as drug trafficking paraphernalia.
Both suspects were later released pending further investigation and charge assessment from the Federal Prosecution Service of Canada.
A third male, a 34-year-old Prince George resident, was located at a local hotel and found to be breaching the conditions of his probation. He has been held in custody overnight and will appear in court later today.
