A violent Prince George man is back in custody after being arrested on outstanding warrants yesterday.

On the morning of Monday September 28, 2020, the Prince George RCMP with assistance of a Police Dog Service team and the North District RCMP’s Emergency Response Team, converged on a residence on Boyd Street, near First Avenue and Ospika Boulevard in Prince George. This action was taken as part of the search for wanted Priority Offender, 29 year old Colin Michaud Durrand.

The two occupants of the house, Durrand and a 40 year old female, surrendered to police without incident. Firearms and other weapons were seized from the residence.

Earlier this month, the BC Prosecution Service approved the following Criminal Code charges and issued arrest warrants for Durrand:

These charges stem from four separate incidences that occurred since July 2019.

Durrand was held in custody overnight and will appear in court later today.

Durrand has a history of violence and is believed to pose an increased risk to public safety. The female was released without change.
