File # Langley RCMP Impaired Driving and Counterattack Campaign

What are your summer plans? Does it include losing your license, going to jail and getting your vehicle impounded? Probably not.

Summer Road Safety Image

Sunshine and Libations are on the menu this month and as the weather slowly starts to improve, we will all likely venture out to backyard BBQ’s and local watering holes. If your summer activities involve alcohol (or drugs), plan ahead for a safe ride home says Leanne Cassap, Local ICBC Road Safety Coordinator.

The Langley RCMP will be stepping up their high visibility road checks and traffic enforcement for the entire month of July. We want to see everyone get home from their summer festivities in a safe manner, and ask that you support your friends and family in making correct choices to plan a safe ride home. Together we can do better.

Sgt. LaBelle, Traffic Services Manager with Langley RCMP states We are committed to increasing road safety for all road users. If you’re impaired by drugs or alcohol…don’t drive. There is always a safe alternative to get home.
