Guns, money and drugs seized during search

After a report of suspicious activity in in the 5000 block of 221A Street, Langley Drug Section began an investigation and subsequently obtained a search warrant for an apartment in one of the condominium complexes.
On June 25th, the search warrant was executed and the evidence of criminal activity was staggering. Officers seized amounts of drugs believed to be cocaine, fentanyl and methamphetamine consistent with trafficking.
Also seized during the search were two loaded handguns and a zip gun, several conducted energy weapons (Tasers) and hundreds of rounds of ammunition. Over $70,000 in cash and two vehicles were seized and will be treated as offence related property.
One male was arrested during the search - a 27-year-old. He was released later that day and the investigation is ongoing for consideration of charges for him and a second male, aged 24. It is interesting to note, two CERB cheques were located amongst the guns, money and drugs for both the males suspected in this investigation.
