On July 13, 2023, SRT’s Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) was conducting proactive patrols when officers observed a known offender driving a vehicle. From previous interactions, the officers knew the offender was prohibited from driving and conducted a vehicle stop. While arresting the driver, officers observed a firearm in the vehicle.
