Traffic stop leads to drugs and cash seizure

On Monday, November 7, 2022 Bella Coola RCMP conduct a traffic stop on Highway 20 in Hagensborg, BC. The vehicle was being driven by an unlicensed driver.
During the traffic stop, police located and seized a quantity of drugs and cash inside the vehicle. Police are familiar with the driver and passenger.
The driver, an adult man, was arrested for driving while prohibited. The passenger, an adult woman, had outstanding warrants from Surrey, Williams Lake and Kamloops.
The man was released without process as police continue the investigation. He could face charges for drug possession and trafficking. The woman was released on an appearance notice to deal with the outstanding warrants.
