On July 12th, 2023, at 11:20 p.m., a speeding vehicle was located by a patrolling RCMP officer. The speed of the vehicle was determined to be 144 km/hr in a posed 90 km/hr zone on the Trans Canada highway in Tappen. The suspect vehicle was stopped by the officer and the driver was ticketed for Excessive Speed and the vehicle was impounded under the Provincial legislation.
