Diversity and Indigenous Peoples Unit

Diversity Vehicle

Surrey's population is fast growing and ever changing. The Surrey RCMP embraces the values of diversity and recognizes the importance of working with our diverse communities to promote public safety.

The goal of the Surrey RCMP is to have a workforce that is reflective of the city we serve. Collectively, our officers, employees and volunteers speak over 50 different languages.

The Surrey RCMP Diversity and Indigenous Peoples Unit is composed of a Diversity & Indigenous Sergeant, Corporal, and Constable, a First Nations Policing Constable and two municipal employee Diversity Coordinators.

The unit's mandate is to enhance Surrey Detachment's ability to connect with the city's diverse communities.
