About Sidney North Saanich RCMP

Welcome to the Sidney North Saanich RCMP website.

The Sidney North Saanich RCMP is located in the Town of Sidney on the Saanich Peninsula, approximately 25 km's from Victoria, British Columbia.

Our community is a transportation hub that houses the Victoria International Airport, BC Ferries Swartz Bay Terminal, and Washington State Ferries with service to Anacortes USA.  Approximately 10.5 million people pass through these facilities annually.

Our Detachment consists of 32 RCMP officers and 9.5 office support staff. In addition to General Duty Policing/Patrol, there are specialized services in Traffic Enforcement, First Nations Policing, School Liaison/Community Policing and the General Investigation Section.

Our Detachment also has an active Auxiliary Program consisting of 6 dedicated volunteers who contribute hundreds of volunteer hours in the community each year. These volunteers provide community policing services including home security checks, personal safety seminars, scooter safety presentations, and program delivery to local elementary school children.

The Detachment is also complemented with several other volunteers in the areas of Speed Watch, Victim Services, Citizens On Patrol, and Restorative Justice.
