E Division Traffic Services places 1st in the International Category of the IACP National Law Enforcement Challenge

National Law Enforcement Challange AwardThe members of RCMP Traffic Services in British Columbia; the 578 members working at 75 Traffic Services units, have won First Place in the International category of the Annual External link, opens in a new windowIACP National Law Enforcement Challenge. The plaque, which will be displayed in the E Division Traffic Services office, was won due to the dedication, hard work and accomplishments by all the R.C.M.P. Traffic members in B.C. The Law Enforcement Challenge looks at all aspects of traffic law enforcement including impaired driving and seatbelt programs, technology, education, partnerships, and programs directed at improving Road Safety.

The international recognition of the programs and work being done by Traffic members and our support staff has raised the profile of our Traffic sections at all levels within the Force and with our partners. We have received many positive comments since the award was announced.

CCMTA - Police Partnership Award

Awarded in May 2008

The RCMP Traffic Services in British Columbia was awarded the CCMTA – Police Partnership Award by the Canadian Counsel of Motor Administrators, in recognition and appreciation of significant contributions and partnerships to Road Safety 2010 – Making Canada’s roads the safest in the world.
