The North Vancouver RCMP’s Front Counter at the main Detachment offers a variety of services. 


Next North Vancouver Policing Committee Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, October 3, 2018.

There will be an open public meeting prior to the in-camera meeting. The open public meeting will run from 15:00 hours to 15:30 hours (pending any applications) in the Briefing Room at the North Vancouver RCMP Detachment. Application to present at the meeting must be filled out and submitted to the Office of the Superintendent, North Vancouver RCMP by 12:00 p.m. Monday, October 1, 2018, either by fax (604) 969-7587 or email: nvanrcmp@rcmp-grc.gc.ca. (Applications can be picked up at the front counter of the detachment)

Public Meeting as per the Terms of Reference:
Individual members of the public or interested groups may submit a request to the Chairman to attend Special Police Committee meetings to be scheduled twice a year in order to enable members of the public to provide input on issues or matters of relevance to the Committee. If approved by the Chairperson, public input of no more than 10 minutes per person shall take place immediately following the commencement of the special meeting. Public notification of the Special Police Committee meetings will be in accordance with the notification procedures adopted by the City and District of North Vancouver. The Agenda for the public meetings may include a review of the detachment's past year's performance and the next year's goals.


 

Complaints against RCMP members regarding conduct or investigations are to be dealt with through the normal procedures at the Detachment or the Commission for Public Complaints Against the RCMP, not at the public meeting.

The North Vancouver RCMP offers Community Policing and Crime Prevention services. These services are administered through the Community Policing Section and the information, advice and services provided are available free of charge.

 


The North Vancouver RCMP Detachment support's and houses the North Shore Emergency Management Office (NSEMO). NSEMO is an inter-municipal agency of the City of North Vancouver, District of North Vancouver, and District of West Vancouver, created for effective co-operative emergency management.
