On November 5, 2011 at 1:39am the North Vancouver RCMP responded to a 911 call at an apartment complex in the 500 block of W 28th Street for a domestic type dispute.
Upon attendance police located a male and a female victim inside the residence who appeared to be suffering from extensive injuries.
BC Ambulance Services attended the residence and the male victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. The female victim was transported to the hospital where she remains in critical condition.
North Vancouver RCMP arrested a 27 year old man from inside the residence. Upon police arrival the suspect was extremely uncooperative and combative. Police were able to restrain him and he is currently in custody. Investigators are attempting to confirm his identity and the relationship between the three individuals.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been called in and has since taken conduct of the investigation.
Investigators are processing the scene and canvassing the neighbourhood and will continue to do so throughout the day with the assistance of North Vancouver RCMP and the Forensic Identification Section (FIS)
