On December 2, 2011 just after 9am the Burnaby RCMP received a 911 call advising that a body was located in the bushes off Fareham Ave and Elwell Rd.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has taken conduct of this investigation and will continue to process the scene throughout the weekend.
The sex of the victim, cause of death or how long the body has been in the area will have to be determined and confirmed through an autopsy.
The identity of the victim is unknown and IHIT are asking anyone who may have information into this suspicious death to call the IHIT tiplines by calling 1-877-551-IHIT(4448) or email at ihittipline@rcmp-grc.gc.ca, or if you wish to remain anonymous provide your anonymous tip information on the web at solvecrime.ca or by phone at 1-800-222-8477
