On June 14, Yukon RCMP investigators executed a search warrant in Watson Lake which led to the arrest of four persons. Various quantities of drugs, prescription drugs, liquor and weapons, including a firearm, were seized from the residence.
The matter is now before the courts. The details of the proceedings are subject to a publication ban under S. 517 of the Criminal Code.
Drug and alcohol use has been identified as a priority by Yukon communities, who are concerned about the effects of substance use on children, families and society. The RCMP is committed to working closely with Yukoners to address their priorities and promote safety.
